Among the monuments that you will visit in this town are: the Cathedral, the Church of Las Mercedes and the Museum of Comayagua that offers a variety of artifacts dating from the colonial time. This city was the Capital of the country from 1542 until 1888. In the afternoon, transfer to a town called La Esperanza. Overnight at the Hotel Casa del Arrollo. • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast, you will have the whole day to explore La Esperanza. La Esperanza is located about 1,600 meters over the sea level. Due to this altitude the climate is very cool, thus making it the ideal place for growing vegetables and fruits. La Esperanza is one of the few places in Honduras where the culture of the Lencas is still alive. You will have time enough to get to know their way of living and to observe how they produce their typical clothes. Today, you will visit la Casa de la Cultura and a beautiful Bosque Enano (forest with small trees). Overnight at the Hotel Casa del Arrollo. • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast you will leave La Esperanza towards Gracias. Gracias was founded in 1536 and its colonial architecture and charm converts it into a very special place. Gracias was declared seat of the Audiencia de los Confines in April 1544, thus converting it into the capital of Central America and Honduras during this period of time. You will visit its colonial churches and afterwards you will have lunch in a restaurant called Guancascos from where you will have a splendid view of the town. In the afternoon, transfer to Santa Rosa de Copán where you will visit its church. Overnight at the Hotel Elvir • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast, you will visit a Cigar Factory where famous Honduran cigars ranked 3rd in the world are produced. Here the whole process of producing cigars can be observed. Continuing journey to Copán, en-route we will visit the Archaeological Site of El Puente and its museum. Later on, will stop at Finca Santa Isabel, for the Copan Coffee Tour. Here you will hike downhill through nice trails and see with your own eyes the process of growing, harvesting and roasting coffee –the traditional shaded grown way, from the plant nursery to the last processing of the coffee beans. You will have lunch at a nice venue within the forest, close to a small waterfall. In the afternoon, we will leave this peaceful place towards Copán Ruins. Overnight in Hotel Marina Copan or similar. • Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast, you will visit the Main Archaeological Site of Copán, the Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas, the only restored residential area.
